PARATA, Robert Wayne (Wayne)

It is with great sadness that Wayne’s family announce his passing on March 24, 2023, in Temuka, New Zealand, at the age of 74 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Vanessa Parata, and Rachel Martin; grandchildren in London, Max and Ava Umpleby; son-in-law Steve Umpleby; all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in New Zealand; brother Dale Wilkinson; sister-in-law Julie McNamara; sister Helen Gibbs and brother-in-law David Gibbs; nieces, Megan Gibbs and Shannon Wilkinson. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family in Perth and New Zealand. A service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held in Hui Te Rangiora Church, Apes Rd, Karitane, at 1.00pm, on Thursday, April 6, followed by interment in the Hui Te Rangiora Urupa. At her home in Masterton on 30th March 2023, in her 95th year. Now with her beloved Ron. Beautiful and precious Mum and mum-in-law of Craig and Marg, Jo and Clive. Adored Nan of Libby, Matt, and Emma; Josh and Sam, and Great-Nan to Cooper, and Mia. A special thank you to Dr John Gordon and her caregivers Judy, Kim and Emma.

Passed away suddenly at Waikato Hospital, surrounded by family, on Tuesday 28th March 2023. In her 80th year. Adored wife of the late Ted. Loved and cherished mum of Len and Jo, Neil, Teresa and Brent, Jane, Carl and Diane, Rob and Robyn and the late Cheryl. Much loved by her grandchildren Jamie, Blair, Connor, Liam, Tegan, Kendall and Corban. A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held at Vospers Chapel, 257 Devon Street East, New Plymouth, on Monday 3rd April at 10.30am.

On 29 March 2023 peacefully at Elizabeth Knox, Auckland, aged 97 years. Loved and respected member of the Marist Brothers for 79 years.
May he rest in peace.
Requiem Mass to celebrate his life of service will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church, 27 Telford Ave, Balmoral, Auckland, on Monday 3rd April at 10.45am, then leaving for burial at Waikaraka Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at Davis Funerals Chapel, 400 Dominion Road, Mt Eden,
at 2.30pm, on Sunday 2nd April. Our thanks go to the wonderful staff at Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital.

Passed away peacefully at Summerset on Summerhill, on Tuesday 28 March 2023, aged 80 years. Dearly loved Husband of Cheryl. Loved Father of Mark, Amanda, Renee, Mina, David, Willow and Nacho. (Formerly of Nelson Creek). Passed away peacefully at Cashmere View Retirement Village with loving family by her side, on March 29, 2023, in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Pat, loved mum and mother-in-law of Donna and Ray Baxendale, and Vicki and Simon Gundry, loved Super Gran of Jemma and George, James and Steph, Paddy and Elle, and Dan, cherished Great-Gran of Sellah, Aiyana, and Quinn, a loved member of the Palmer and Fisher families, a loved aunty, cousin, and a friend of many. Grateful thanks to the staff of Cashmere View Rest Home, Ashgrove Wing, who cared for Margaret with such tenderness and respect. Messages to 29 Bibiana Street, Halswell, Christchurch 8025. A Requiem Mass for Margaret will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Catholic Church, High Street, Greymouth, on Monday at 10.00am. Margaret will then be laid to rest with Pat at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Gladstone. Recitation of the Rosary will be in the Church on Sunday at 6.30pm.

Beloved daughter of the late Maganbhai Parbhub Parag and Gangaben Maganbhai Parbhu of Sarpore Pardi (India), and daughter-in-law to Chhotubhai and Naniben Ranchhod. Much loved wife of Hament. Devoted mum of Damian, Anand and Alannah. Loving sister to Arvind and the late Dilip, Rohit (Ronnie), the late Devdas and Janak and sister-in-law Anil, Pravin, and Vasanti. Special phoi to Rajnesh, Deapak, Jana, Deena, Jamie, Vienna, Kyle and Reuben. Adored grandmother to her 15 grandchildren, and she will be missed by her brothers and sisters and their families. Of Tanner Street, Invercargill. Bob passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the care of staff at Southland Hospital, with his family at his side. Much loved son of the late Frank and Helena. Younger brother and brother-in-law of Hendy and Fiona, Isabel and Murray Brown. Loved special uncle of Ainsley, Maurice and Amelia, Douglas and Amy, and Andrew, and their children. A very special thank you to the staff at the Southland Hospital and the support from management and staff of Geo Wilson and Sons Limited. A service for Bob will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Tuesday, April 4, at 1.30pm. Interment to follow at the Riverton Cemetery. Sadly passed away on 25th March 2023 at the great age of 104. Dearly beloved husband of the late Lilian, precious father of Warren, Brenda and Dayle. Adored Poppy of his three grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
Our grateful thanks to all the staff at Summerset Mountain View Rest Home who gave him such wonderful care. A service to celebrate Colin’s life will be held on Friday 31st March at 2.00pm, at the Chapel of W. Abraham, New Plymouth.
