EMSLEY, Rita

Passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 24, 2023. Deeply loved wife of Norm for 63 years. Adored mother of Graham, and Jan, and loved mother-in-law of Maria, and Brendan. Special Nana of Alana, Samantha, James, and John, and great-grandmother of Valerie, and Kora. The family extends its deepest thanks to all the staff at the Hawkes Bay Hospital who gave so much comfort to Rita in her final days, with their genuine kindness and personal care. Special thanks to Dr Hamish Gibbs and the team in the A2 ward. A memorial service to celebrate Rita’s life will be held at the Sugar Loaf Chapel of Howard & Gannon Funerals, cnr Lee Road and Gloucester Street, Taradale, Napier on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11.00am.

WALDEGRAVE, Roger

It is with great sadness that Pip, Melita, Heidi and Sacha announce the sudden death
of their much loved husband and dad, Roger Michael Waldegrave in Wellington Hospital on Sunday 26th March 2023. He was surrounded by his beloved Punda and their girls who he was so proud of. He passed away peacefully. He will be sadly missed by his sons in law and grandchildren as well as his extended family and friends. A private cremation was held on Thursday 30th March 2023 in Waikanae. As the man himself would say, “Rog, your blood is worth bottling.” Thank you to the team at 7 South at Wellington Hospital and Jimmy Janssen for their care, compassion and support.

It is with great sadness the Malloch family announce the passing of Souter (Sue) Dalrymple Malloch at the age of 91. Sue passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday 24 March 2023 at Ranfurly Manor Hospital and Rest Home, Fielding. Sue led a distinguished life playing golf and bowls competitively and supporting Trevor with his many achievements. Sue lived a long and happy life in Palmerston North until moving to Fielding in her final years. Sue was the loving wife of Trevor and mother of Karen and Tony with 7 grandchildren.

KINGEN, Stephen Craig

Passed away unexpectedly in Greymouth on March 30, 2023, aged 59. Loved son of Margaret and the late Edwin, loved brother of Edwin (Jnr), and Kevin, loved father of Damien, Lee, and Dustin, and a loved uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. As per Stephen’s wishes, a cremation has taken place at the Westland Crematorium.
