Additional time granted for feedback on Airport Location Study

The Team from Whangarei District Council

Whangārei District Councillors decided unanimously this morning to extend the consultation period on the Whangārei Airport Location Study by five weeks, to 1 July 2022, and to publish further background reports on the project.

The newly available documents will be available on our consultation page by 1 June 2022. In the meantime, we will also be contacting everyone who has made a submission so far, to provide an opportunity to change or add to their feedback.

New key dates:
✈ Closing date for submissions: 4:30pm on Friday 1 July 2022
☁ Council Hearings: 9:00am on Tuesday 26 July 2022
🌎 Council Briefing (issues and options): 10:30am on Tuesday 9 August 2022
🛩 Decision on selection of preferred option: 1:00pm on Thursday 18 August 2022
