Work on Ballance site

The Team from Whangarei District Council

Council is planning to redevelop the old Ballance Fertilizer site on Port Road, although exactly what kind of development it will be has yet to be decided.

In the meantime, contractors will begin dismantling the building and clearing the site late January 2018.

Update on Bream Bay water supply

The water being distributed to One Tree Point may have an unpleasant earthy taste but it is safe to drink. Putting water in the fridge should improve the taste. However, if taste and odour problems persist please call Council on 09 430 4200 and we can organise for the lines in your street to be flushed as soon as we have sufficient water to do so – expected to be early this week.
