TED talks in Thames
Transition Town Thames runs a monthly TED talk evening- and you are warmingly welcomed to join us. The talks are in video form, and are usually 15ish minutes long. The talks can be on any subject, and we have a thoughtful discussion between and in the break. We provide supper, and great company all for only a koha (donation).
Our next TEDs are on Sunday 26th of May, from 5pm at the Thames Civic Centre. I hope to see you there!

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
