Thames Music Group is a not for profit society run by a small commitee of volunteers, who orgnise and facilitate 8-9 free Friday lunchtime concerts and 8-9 Sunday afternoon concerts each year. The concerts are varied, predominantly classical music, but include a variety of instrumental and vocal music from students to professional musicians. The venue is the beautiful 150 yr old St Georges Church in Thames where up to 300 people can enjoy their choice of music. The group has been active for over 45 years with grants from TCDC, Creative Communities and Trust Waikato.
