There are a lot of scratchy, sore throats around at the moment that end up developing into coughs and colds. This sage tincture can nip those first symptoms in the bud. It takes a month to brew but would be well worth having in the cupboard for times of need.
Ingredients:
1 small glass jar

There are a lot of scratchy, sore throats around at the moment that end up developing into coughs and colds. This sage tincture can nip those first symptoms in the bud. It takes a month to brew but would be well worth having in the cupboard for times of need.
Ingredients:
1 small glass jar
Sage dried or fresh
Alcohol such as vodka or brandy
Instructions:
Pack the jar with sage and fill with the alcohol to the top. Seal with an airtight lid. Shake then store in a cool dark place for at least a month. Shake daily. After a month, strain and pour into a spray bottle. Use as needed for sore throats and congestion.

Judith Nel, president of the Special Education Principals' Association (SEPA) and Principal of Parkside School says special education in New Zealand is in trouble.

According to Nel, the sector faces a number of problems, including a lack of trained staff and underfunding.

To address these issues the government will need to drastically increase the number of specialist staff by expanding the national training curriculum.
