Sage Tincture for Sore Throats
There are a lot of scratchy, sore throats around at the moment that end up developing into coughs and colds. This sage tincture can nip those first symptoms in the bud. It takes a month to brew but would be well worth having in the cupboard for times of need.
Ingredients:
1 small glass jar
Sage dried or fresh
Alcohol such as vodka or brandy
Instructions:
Pack the jar with sage and fill with the alcohol to the top. Seal with an airtight lid. Shake then store in a cool dark place for at least a month. Shake daily. After a month, strain and pour into a spray bottle. Use as needed for sore throats and congestion.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
