Brooke from Waltham

Hi all, as holiday season is fast approaching, and everyone is rushing to find suitable temporary placements for their much beloved pets to stay while they are away, but are finding the cost is through the roof or you just cant find any where suitable for your nervous pets. Well look no further, I offer cheap and affordable pet care services from $10 a day! Your pets can stay in their own environment and I come and feed and spend time with them daily.

-I come and visit your pets and spend an hour a day with them plus feed twice daily.
-take dogs out for walks/to the beach 3x a week or $5 for each extra day. I can also help with collecting mail, putting bins out, watering plants and anything extra you may need done while you are away.
-I hold a certificate in animal care and I am currently studying animal grooming, so would be happy to groom pets free of charge (for practice ☺) this will only include brushing and bathing.

-Generally I would be happy to have your pets stay at my house however will be full from the 19th of Dec through to the 31st.
-Also I am open to in house stays but please enquire with further information. Also can provide references.

- for the non holiday goers I'm happy to do general dog walking/beach runs, price neg.

My services are for ALL animals ranging from Dogs, cats, rabbits etc  to horses and farm animals at extra cost.

ALL PRICES ARE NEGOTIABLE.

Please email at brooke.gommans@hotmail.co.nz to enquire.

Thanks all, and have a great day x

( Will be in auckland from the 8th of jan - 28th of jan studying dog grooming, so will be looking for pups to practice on once I am back (: )

Poll: Canterbury is thriving on paper... but are you seeing evidence of Canterbury's improving economy?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Press, Reserve Bank Governor Anna Breman recently gave a shout-out to our region, calling Canterbury a "stand-out" for how we recover from tough times. With tech firms growing and exporters investing, the business side of things is looking bright!

👉 But we know that "business growth" doesn't always mean the weekly shop gets any cheaper. While the city expands, many families feel like they’re just trying to keep their heads above water.

We want to know: With the business buzz of 2026, do you feel like things are finally looking up for your household, or does it still feel like a climb?
