We are delighted to let you know your region has reached a huge milestone... Canterbury has now cracked the 100,000 member mark on Neighbourly.
The Neighbourly Team would like to thank every one of you for continuing to display your community spirit, especially after another challenging year. The Christchurch Mosque attacks in March showed how much Canterbury residents are prepared to come together to support one another.
We were blown away to see Neighbourly noticeboards filled with people wanting to make a difference in their community - reaching out to neighbours to organise visits to the local mosque and coordinating events to fundraise for the victims.
Canterbury, we hold you close to our hearts. Congratulations on the milestone and thank you for being such great neighbours!

Hoko and Glenda feel very fortunate for the support they received when Hoko experienced some health issues. It wasnβt just the village staff who provided support, the whole community rallied around them.
βWhen I got sick the community itself looked after me,β Hoko explains.
βI canβt speak highly enough of the staff here,β Glenda says.

Outbreaks have been declared in Fiji, Samoa and Tonga. Thousands of people have been affected, and many thousands more are at risk as health authorities and medical professionals race to prevent the spread and impact of this disease.
Red Cross volunteers are working closely with Ministries of Health to support both response and prevention activities. Hundreds of people have already visited the mobile vaccination site at Samoa Red Cross.
You can help too. Donate to the Pacific Disaster Fund now to support this emergency response.
