The woolston development project along with brickonymous are putting on a Christmas Lego grotto and market this Saturday as a fundraiser.
The Woolston Development Project (WDP) which began in 1987 is a non-profit community organisation which provides safe recreational/social/educational opportunities for children, women and families - see the link below to their website for more information about the work they do. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
