First lot of Bed Rolls Delivered

Julie Williams from Aranui Handiscope

On behalf of Aranui Handiscope, we would like to 'Thank' everyone who has been part of our bed rolls made out of your recycled plastic bags. We are delighted to say that on Tuesday 1st Aug we handed over our first lot of bed rolls to the Salvation Army. It was such a delight to be able to do this finally. Matthew Marks from the City Mission will come another day to collect some, as he wasn't able to attend the other day. Our members have worked so hard to get these bed rolls done and we will continue to do these. We appreciate the continued support and thank you for all the bags that are dropped off at my gate or to St Ambrose Church 309 Breezes Road.  Our knitting group are now into a project of their own and making knitted or crochet baby blankets, so if anyone has any spare wool and no longer need we will be happy to take off your hands. Once again thank you for all your support.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

How much does it cost to join AEA?

There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
