Environment Canterbury Flash brochure!
Hi, Do many of you agree that the flash, large coloured, photographic, heavy papered brochure that arrives in our post box from Environment Canterbury is a waste of good rate payers money? How many of us put this in the rubbish? In my view if it is necessary to send something out it doesn't need to be something so elaborate! I wrote and complained last time we were sent one several months ago complaining. Many Canterbury rate payers are already struggling with the HIGH rates. Ours has already hit the rubbish bin.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
