At CAB we help people to know and understand their rights and obligations and how to use this information to get the best outcomes. We provide people with the confidence and support they need to take action, and we work for positive social change within communities and wider society. We provide a free and independent service to all. Interviewers are Volunteers giving up their time freely in the service of others.

Your purchase of an Entertainment Membership contributes to our fundraising.

If you select the pick-up option when you order a book then you have a choice of collecting it from our City, Fendalton or Hornby branches. We will contact you about your preference once you have ordered.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
