Reflecting on when she first moved to the leafy village, Marie says, “Sarah (Guest Service Manager) got to know me in the first week. I had dinner with her.” Adding with a smile, “The chef here is absolutely marvelous.”
But Marie’s social life isn’t limited to delicious dinner dates; there’s always something happening at The Bellevue. “Sarah gets to know the residents and what they want to do. Everyone is different and has different needs. She’ll arrange things for what we want to do.”
Our Care Suites not only offer both Rest Home and Hospital care but feel like home too, with a living area, kitchenette and ensuite. And Marie couldn’t be happier. “I love my room. I have a little outside patio area. I can boil the jug and make myself a cup of tea and I can entertain friends. I have miles of photos up. I like having lots of photos around me.”
At The Bellevue, Marie has found that feeling many of us are searching for, “I wake up every morning and feel good.”

The saddening thing is that this neighbour did not even have the decency to stop and inform us of the accident. This was all captured on our CCTV camera system with the older white Toyota car making no attempt to stop after running over our cat. I will be reviewing the CCTV footage to get the full make and registration of the car. When I got to Mollie she was still alive but died whilst I was holding her in my arms. I now have a very distraught wife and daughter who have seen this cat grow from a little lost stray, to the beautiful cat that she was. I would have thought that the driver would have felt the bump of running over her and would have stopped. I will be keeping a lookout for this car in our neighbourhood and will be having a stern word with them.

I have a sneaky feeling that I was born with a twisted and gaping open mouth! That I came from my mother's womb already upset, irritable and ill at ease. I don't know, but it feels like I felt that way from a very, very early age. I think that I went through life always searching for something that would soothe me and make me feel whole and complete. I felt rage a lot at that time, particularly towards my mother. She was a larger than life woman, a real matriarch, who ruled the home with religious verses like: “Children should be seen and not heard”/.“Honour thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long upon the land that the Lord Thy God has given thee.''
