Diets and fasting never stopped me bingeing and vomiting

There was never a time I did not have a fascination for food. I regularly stole money and stole food thinking that it was normal to want to eat all the time. Many people must have gone without milk when I pinched the coins out of the milk bottles of people in my street, I would rush to the dairy and then have the agony of deciding what to buy. When I left home and got my first job, my very first pay went on packets of bite-sized chocolate bars which were hidden under my bed.

Remember dogs and cats can't just change their stomach and sleep clocks in a few minutes like we are forced to do, to stay with the status quo.
So for the next few days sympathise and explain it again, again, again.
"Look at the time on the wall and DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR STOMACH".
This time I am going to throw a cover over the wall clock and tape over the digital oven clock. I'm sure one of ours reads the wall clock, the other one just has two settings - sleep and eat, sleep and eat, sleep and eat so daylight saving (an oxymoronic name, night light saving doesn't get a look in.) always disappears in the twinkling of an eye. The best thing is it brings the election drama performances finality that much closer. Cheers all. ps they didn't have the stupidity of daylight saving when this photo was taken.

Speed limits on vast chunks of Christchurch roads will drop to 30 or 40kph - and some to even 10kph - under a new city council proposal to improve safety.

The existing 60kph speed limits on main roads like Memorial Ave, Aldwins Rd, Linwood Ave and Blenheim Rd could also be dumped in favour of new 50kph limits.

The proposals feature in Christchurch City Council’s draft Safer Speed Plan, released for public consultation on Monday.

Kia ora koutou, It’s Natalie here from Whakaata Māori (formerly Māori TV) and I’m excited to tell you about this fabulous new TV show called "West Coasters".

It's an intimate documentary series that gives us a peek into the lives of a Māori community here in the rugged Te Tai ō Poutini region of the South Island. What sets it apart is its authenticity, showcasing their deep connection to the land and their dreams for the future. The Arahura River, flowing through their ancestral lands with its revered pounamu, plays a central role. It's a show that'll truly move you – don't miss it !

West Coasters – Mane Monday 7.30pm on Whakaata Māori or streaming on Māori+
