Bookarama
I just came across this article: www.stuff.co.nz...
Now I know why only rubbishy books were available during recent Bookaramas. Who donates their good books to Rotary so booksellers can make a heap of money? Bookarama is a community event, not an opportunity for book sellers to make a huge profit. Everyone should have the same chances. It's absolute bollocks that they put out more quality books. What they put out at the start is what was donated recently. Once the shelves get empty, they replenish with what was left over from the previous Bookarama. They should only allow bags up to a certain size. That would solve the problem and everyone would have the same chance.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?

This Wednesday, we're having another Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with John Bracewell from Crewcut.

After years of perfecting the greens on the field, he's ready to share tips on how to knock your garden out of the park. SID is still missing!
Missing since 10th November around Leander Street, Northcote. They snuck away after a stressful move into town, and so will likely be confused and a bit timid.
