New World extortionate pricing
Just a few days ago I purchased beautiful, large, Australian Mangoes from Growers Direct Church Corner Riccarton for $5.50 each. I always keep an eye out for them at this time of the year having grown up with them for many years when living in Australia. Today (4/10)when in New World Fendalton they have them, packed in singles on plastic trays and covered with cling wrap at $9.99 each. Who is ripping us off here if a small, privately owned vege shop can sell for $5.50 each. And...to think they need all that excess packaging. When expressing my outrage to the Duty Manager about the price, the response was "thank you for your opinion" and he turned and walked away. Honestly, they don't deserve the custom they get.
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? π»π¨π
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
35.4% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
64.6% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)

How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
