Does anyone know anything about this????
This sign appeared on the footpath at the entrance to Sonia Place, Casebrook on Monday midmorning. As you can see it gives a Day and a Half notice of the closure of Sonia Place. The number on the sign is for Wilson Signs who produced it for HEB Construction. When HEB was contacted the young lady was unable to give any information about it. Looking at the Council site it shows Royleen St, Marlene St, Sonia Place and Penelope Place are due to be resurfaced in the coming year.
At no time has there been any communication from either the council or HEB Construction regarding any planned roadwork in the area.
The closure means there will be no traffic allowed into or out of the affected area from the 6th (today ) until the 22nd - this includes Tradesmen coming to do a job, Grocery deliveries, Couriers etc.
Is this another instance of the arrogance and lack of communication by our City Council as well as their appointed Contractors?

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
