Sorry Don

This reply was totally irrelevant and annoying.
I didn't need or want to be informed that the post was from outside my neighbourhood. I already knew that.
I wanted to stop the unwanted posts from another UNSELECTED neighbourhood appearing in my inbox.
I don't want to see what North Island posters are posting,
I have the soclaiming Moderators tell us that they don't want too many posters.
Well the soclaiming Moderators can reduce the number of posts if it upsets them so much by getting these uncalled and undesired postings able to be MUTED.
Of course this presupposes that NEIGHBOURLY's use of the word "MUTE" user was showing their ignorance of the meaning of the word "MUTE" which means "not audible" for "not visible."
It smacks of that joke a historic time ago, the professor entered onto his Commodore 16 computer, "out of sight, out of mind" and was surprised when the screen response was, "INVISIBLE IDIOT." What more needs to be said of those who have no interest in improving this website. ?!?

Major roadworks in St Albans, Edgeware and Mairehau should be completed by October, the Christchurch City Council says.

Work started in February and a mid-year deadline was in place, but the Covid-19 lockdown caused delays.

The work includes upgrades to the intersection of Forfar and Warrington streets, and the Bealey Ave and Sherborne St intersection, new traffic signals at the Barbadoes St and Warrington St intersection, and the rebuild of Cranford St between Innes Rd and Oxley Ave.

Are you happy with this outcome?

Why do they not offer a hard copy option as others do? Case in point - the diner in Oxford. You are not served until you record your particulars via your cell phone. If it wasn't for my friend yesterday who put my contact details in on his phone, I would not have got a meal. Today I visited Warehouse Stationary in Northwood. Same thing - app download only. The elderly man in front of me, just sanitized his hands and walked in - as I did. Do not these businesses realize that not everyone has a cell phone and even those who do have one, may find downloading the app too difficult. What happens when a group of elderly people go to a restaurant and they have to register via their cell phones - if they have one - and they can't? This is short-shortsightedness, and because I am not cell phone savvy, I, like hundreds of others, won't spend money at those premises. Businesses take note: if you want our money, please provide a hard-copy option.

Subject: Mens shed tool appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of Summerset on Cavendish retirement village, they have donated a brand new facility for use as a men's shed which will help us oldies to create projects for charity, and also enable us to continue our hobbies and do minor repairs and jobs for those residents who are are no longer able to do these themselves.
And to this end we are appealing to the very generous members of Neighbourly for donations of tools which you no longer need or use, to equip our now empty workshop. Any tools ( hand or machine ) would be greatly appreciated , and would be put to very good use by some of our very skilful residents and would help them pass their days productively. If you are able to help please contact Ken on 027 682 8820 or 354 11820. We would gladly pick any up at anytime that suits you. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and well loved and cared for. Thank you.
