Are Christchurch's festive street decorations just a load of old baubles?

Nicole Mathewson Reporter from The Press

Is Christchurch lacking Christmas cheer? Are the city’s street decorations perhaps a bit lame?

Watch the video from Stuff reporter Charlie Gates and visual journalist Alden Williams below, and tell us in the comments if you've found some Christmas cheer in Christchurch this year.

Start the new year off FRESH!

Stephen from Master Multi-Tasker - Christchurch Handyman Services

Wow... 2020. What a year. I don't know anyone who hasn't been affected in some way by the global pandemic. I certainly could never have predicted that my own life would change so dramatically.

But, here we are - doing our best to thrive in what is a very different world.

I hope you've all stayed safe and well and that 2021 will be kinder to us all.

With that in mind, let me help you tidy up all those loose ends from 2020 and get those odd jobs at your place completed so you can start the new year fresh. I know how tough it can be to get help at this time of year, so I'm available throughout the holidays - please just give me a call or text if you have anything you need a hand with.

Happy New Year, Neighbours... we're almost there!

Cheers,

It is free to anyone who is prepared to come and take away. It will need at least 4 strong blokes to lift it and carry across the garden to the driveway. Weight(empty) is approx 300 kgs. We are both older folks, we don't smoke and have no pets. We would like a long term rental, preferably a three bedroom home, but we can probably consider a two bedroom if the garage is of the larger type so that we can store our bikes and I can continue working at my small business. We want to stay in Kaiapoi as we both like it here. A garden would be welcome as Paul has a keen interest in that.
We also have excellent references. So if you know of anywhere that might be suitable please get in touch, we have wee bit of time yet but as we all know time is a fleeting thing, so if you know or have heard of something that may suit please get in touch. Thank you to all, Lynda and Paul.😄

Merry Christmas to our valued clients.
We hope the season brings you lots of love, family time and happiness.

For many of us its a welcome end to 2020.
Its been a tough year for many and we are acutely aware many families are not able to be together this holiday season. Luckily for us all our children will be with us for our camping trip Jan 4th, including Patrick's 2 from Tauranga and even our 171/2 year old will grace us with her presents. We also have a few extras with some friends and boyfriend tagging along for a family holiday. We suspect it may be more chaos than relaxing as the parents but know with teenagers we are incredibly spoilt they actually want to spend time with us.

Patrick is available for all urgent jobs over the holiday season....all power, heating, ovens, hot water etc.
Non stat days right thru he is working so happy to do any jobs.

In the week we are away from Jan 4th still ring us for urgent jobs we have back up organized.

Merry Christmas
Stay safe every one
Patrick, Shannon and family
