The North Beach car park, which services both the surf lifesaving club and the North New Brighton community centre on Marine Pde in North New Brighton, will be off limits to freedom campers from 7pm on Fridays until Monday morning.
The closure will apply from this weekend until Easter Sunday and again from Labour Weekend until New Year's Eve to coincide with the surf lifesaving season.

Water restrictions have been introduced in Christchurch to ensure there are enough supplies to fight fires.
