Serious assault at Bexley Park

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Police are asking for help from the community to find the person responsible for a stabbing in Bexley Park on Monday 14 November.

A man was found with multiple stab wounds at around 6.20am near the Pages Road entrance to the park where he was walking his dog, he was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Police assure Bexley Park residents that this matter is being taken extremely seriously and patrols have been set up in the area for this community. They also share gratitude for the patience these residents have shown while Police continue to conduct enquiries. If any suspicious behaviour is seen at this time, it's best to report this immediately by calling 111.

'We believe someone will know who is responsible and we need to hear from them.' shares Detective Inspector Nicola Reeves.

Can you help?
- Police are appealing to motorists with dashcams who were in the areas of Pages Road or Anzac Drive around this time to come forward.
- Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area on Monday, particularly from 4am, is urged to contact Police.
- The community may have seen the offender in the area immediately after the assault so are asked to also get in contact.
