Local elections

Soozie from South New Brighton

Wow, 13 candidates for Mayor, not sure if that is lucky or not! That will split the votes, and boy do we have some research to do to make sure we vote for the right person. Then again, what sort of person is right for this position? This is a question that has a dozen different answers, so whoever gets in will not be the right fit for everyone. But that person has to be the right fit for the city, after all the Mayor has to do right by the whole city based on the Councillors imput. The Councillor you choose has to be the right fit for you and do right by your ward, your community Board member has to be the right fit and do right by the people of your community.
Soozie Bragg - Candidate for the Coastal Community Board.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? πŸ›»πŸš¨πŸš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Addictive Eaters Anonymous

How much does it cost to join AEA?

There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
