Transport Volunteers
Hello everyone! I'm Jasmine, the Volunteer Coordinator for Dementia Canterbury, and I am seeking more transport volunteers to enable our clients to attend activity groups that make a real difference to their lives. Transport is a huge barrier for our clients, as many have lost their licences and are unable to take public transport. If you have a couple of hours a week or fortnight to spare, I'd love to hear from you! We offer comprehensive training, and our current volunteers say that it's an amazing opportunity to meet really interesting people and make a difference in their lives. How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
