Hi neighbours,

Would you like to live here? The first homes have been finished in central Christchurch's 900-home east frame housing precinct - more than six years after the development was first announced.

But the homes do come at a cost. The 20 three-storey, three-bedroom homes have gone on sale priced from $1.175m to just under $1.59m, ranging in size from 168 square metres to 214sqm, including an internal garage. To read more, click here.

What are your thoughts on the buildings? Do you think they'll attract people into the Christchurch CBD? Or are they too pricey? Share your views with us in the replies below.

Anna Williams Reporter from The Press

OPINION: Johnny Moore says if the smiles from ear to ear are anything to go by then the electric scooter trial is a success. The "grumpy old men" need to stop grizzling and remember what having fun is like.

Hi everyone

We are having a collection to try and raise funds for the kitten season that is in full force at the moment.

I have posted two photo's of kittens that came into our care in a shocking state recently but with medical care and antibotics and eyedrops, their eyes have been saved.  This is where the monies raised today and at our stalls/markets goes to being the precare needed to get these wee bundles of fluff to their foster homes.

The kittens will go into foster care and get some individual loving and then be adopted to a loving home (with an adoption fee which covers costs like desexing, microchipping and vaccinations only).

We are aware that a lot of people do not carry cash so if you would like, we do need kitten food, kitty litter and real cheap smelly cat food usually the countdown seafood or sardines variety.

Any help would be appreciated.  Even a smile for our volunteer collectors.

Thank you for reading and caring.
