Papanui High School is offering a beginners Millinery course in Term 3. Starting on Thursday 19 August 7-9 pm followed by Saturday 21 August and Saturday 28 August 10.30 am - 4.00 pm both days at a total cost $180 which includes a basic millinery kit. This course taught by Roz Wilmott-Dalton will teach you about the different shapes of faces and which hat suits each one. Using this knowledge you will block and wire a foundation fabric to create a vintage inspired head piece. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
