April 25 marks the 106-year anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, one of the most costly campaigns for the Allied Forces during World War I.
Anzac dawn and commemorative services up and down the country are scheduled to get underway after widespread cancellations last year, due to the nation being under Alert Level 4 restrictions.
The NZDF have advised of a reduced presence of military personnel at Anzac services due to deployment at MIQ facilities.
You can check out where the Anzac day services are on this interactive map on the RSA website.
Feel free and share your stories below and don't forget to type NFP if you don't want your comments used in the Northern Outlook.

Many of us felt nervous when attending our first meeting, or when picking up the phone to make that first call to an AEA member. We’ve all been there. We found there was no need to worry. We were welcomed by people who understood our problem, who did not judge us, and who offered a solution in the Twelve Steps of Addictive Eaters Anonymous.

Columnist Mike Yardley says most lower-income earners who smoke shell out more money in tobacco excise than they do in income tax.
"They should be vigorously urged to switch to vaping as a smoking cessation alternative, given it’s not just far less hazardous to their health, but also to their back pocket," he says.

But the good news is, a recent 2021 colonoscopy showed a completely healed Colon. She also takes CBD oil as this disease seems to affect the brain, so although not "cured" , she has no disease symptoms and can now break the rules occasionally without any flare, although rarely does as risk not worth it. I hope this post helps somebody else.

My neighbour has just grown what seems to be a near-world-record feijoa. 412 grammes. The biggest we can find reference to on the internet, is a record of 423 grammes. Does anyone have any other information about these?
Oh, and those are full-sized coke and baked-bean tins - not those mini sizes.

"Every member of this family who serves in the shop are very friendly, helpful and always smiling. They get to know all their customers and I have never walked into a shop that makes you feel so welcome. During our first lockdown for Covid, they put food such as milk, bread, out for people who may need it free of charge."
