As we (CCL) begin developing the Cashmere Hills, we are dedicated to being a ‘partner’ with the residents in the surrounding area(s). We have come into your backyards, not to disrupt your lifestyles, but to develop an area of the outer city in an appealing and well planned manner. In our planning, we have considered the development with you all in mind. We are not here to take as much land as possible and make a conglomerate of row-by-row lots that the valley itself would find disheartening. Yet, we have carefully and methodically planned this development to retain the beauty and iconic natural landscape of the valley. Once completed approximately 100 hectares of land will be made available for use to the wider community through vesting to Christchurch City Council.
Our working hours of consent are Monday – Friday 7am to 6pm. We had consent to start at 7am on Saturday, however we thought that was unreasonable and unfair to the surrounding residents. Our new consent is from 8am – 2:30pm Saturdays…a later start and an early finish to allow residents to enjoy their Saturdays.
As we move forward with the development, we are dedicated to being as transparent with everyone as possible. Once our site office (150 meters in from the CAP entrance) is complete, we are going to have an information-BBQ regarding the development on a Saturday afternoon (date still to be determined). As we continue with the development we will send out email blasts to everyone in the area with any major changes to our ongoing work. With that being said please see the following list as to what our immediate plans are in getting construction underway.
Immediate Action:
Cleaning up the entrance (200 meters in) from Worsleys Rd. This includes chip sealing the road, to eliminate dust and have a more appealing look.
Giving the old grubby fence running parallel to the entrance road a facelift.
Eliminating all the weeds and rubbish along this section.
Completing our site office in an eye engaging fashion. This includes a parking lot for our sales office and employees. We will not be parking on Worsleys Rd.
Placing a STOP sign and road markings at the exit onto Worsleys Rd – We have witnessed vehicles at a high rate of speed entering Worsleys Rd. For a neighborhood with families and children this is not acceptable.
Dust Control – Water truck within open earthworks. Remediation of the non-sealed CAP road to mitigate dust issues. www.environ...
Livestock pens to be removed at the CAP entrance, once all livestock is off site…early April sometime.
Once the land dries up from this downpour we’ve had, we plan on starting our earthworks on Stage 1.
*No earthworks will be undertaken during the “wet period” over winter.
We have also attached an artist’s Impression of the final development of lots.

Under the Stars - Homeless in Tauranga
We are a Charitable Trust feeding the homeless and needy. We supply hygiene necessities, blankets, and clothing for those in need. We are also fortunate to have a hairdresser occasionally on site who gives her services for free. Recently we have begun to hold a drop in afternoon every second Thursday, giving people the opportunity to have a light lunch and a chance to chat. We are hoping to develop this afternoon more by offering a variety of creative arts. The volunteers that commit time and energy towards our meals do so mostly out of their own funds.

Proposed youth centre for Keith Street Wanganui central district
I propose the opening and running of a youth centre based in Keith street or Wanganui cbd. The benefits of having a youth centre in the community will bring together the younger and older generations, so we can learn from each others mistakes and experiences to enhance each other’s lives. We have a mixture of people from different cultures in our society in such a small radius that sometimes we forget about those who really are struggling with life, and they are the most vulnerable people in our society. I want to change that for the better, and help those people that are struggling to survive on the basic benefit or wages. VOTE NOW!
