Biketober Chch Week 1: Pedal into Spring!
Week 1 of Biketober 2018 is underway and already we've seen over a dozen different events! The first weekend cranks it up with "Pedal into Spring" on Saturday afternoon (6th) - come along to Rauora Park from 12.30pm, bring a friend or family and then choose how you want to explore town by bike. Visit the shops? Hunt down the street art? Something for the kids? There's a dozen different rides to choose from!
And if that's not enough, this weekend also sees a Build-a-bike-trailer workshop, Heathcote Express cycleway ride, social MTB rides, Meet in the Middle along the Avon-Otakaro, Women's Suffrage Ride, and much more! Don't forget too to pick a Biketober Passport and visit some of the 40 businesses for discounts and prizes. How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
