Be like Bruce Lee. Learn Kung Fu. The White Dragon School of Kung Fu has spaces available for new students. This is a traditional martial arts school. You will sweat like a pig & your muscles will ache for days. The teacher will yell at you and your knuckles will bleed. But you'll be the fittest & strongest you have ever been & no one will ever bother you. Training is Mon & Wed nights at the Oaklands School Hall (Cunningham Pl) $5 per session. 8 years & above, any fitness level (you'll get into shape quickly). Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
