If you have a view on tackling climate change, charging heavy water users or how rates should be spent, now is the time to let the council know.
For the next month the public can provide feedback on the council's proposed 10-year budget, known as the long-term plan.
The budget sets out a vision for how the council will spend money over the next decade, and is re-evaluated and ratified every three years.
The public can give their feedback through the council website, on the Have Your Say page, until April 18.

What is with the parking meters charging 50 cents per transaction?
I just parked in town, 1 hour 2 dollars
Paid with my debit card charged an extra 50 cents.
That is a 25% fee, obviously a very lucrative business parking meters,

Instead, the 63-year-old and wife Mary Tritt visited Northland and the Marlborough Sounds, sailed the Hauraki gulf, made eight mountain biking and cycle trail trips, fished on charter boats in the Bay of Islands, and spent $24,000 on a bucket-list cruise to the subantarctic islands.
