Sarah Wylie, a social researcher is currently undertaking research on Burnside and the surrounding area for two local churches, Burnside Campus - Christchurch Elim (Grahams Rd) and St Timothy's (Kendal Ave). We are keen to better understand our community and its strengths, challenges, and needs, to help us tailor the activities and supports we collectively offer, complementing the great things already happening locally.
if you live in this area, it would be awesome to hear from you via this survey. It will take a few minutes and it won't identify you - what you say is anonymous.
The survey will be online until 29 August 2022.

Our kitten Ziggy has been missing a few days now. It is very unlike him to not come home. He is normally inside between 6-7pm. We live on Greers/Brookside Terrace diagonally from Pizza Hut and the Pharmacy. Please keep an eye out for our baby. We are hoping he is locked in a garage or shed somewhere. He is very friendly and loves a pat and is curious, but always comes home. He has a blue releasable collar with a big gold star with his name on it, a big bell and our contact details attached. Please help us bring our baby home.
Every child is unique. At NumberWorks'nWords, we know that your child is amazing already. We just help them prove it, so that they shine when it's their time! ?

A married person gets a pension of $817.32 a fortnight, before tax, compared with the $990.20 received by a person sharing with someone who is not their spouse or partner.
“I have a friend who isn't in a relationship, but she's sharing a house, and they share all the expenses, and she's going to end up getting $172.88 more than me a fortnight which is just plain wrong,” said Daphne, who did not want her last name used for privacy concerns.
The combined fortnightly payment for a couple is $1634.64.
The Ministry of Social Development said people in a relationship were more likely to share a wider range of costs and resources than a single person living with another adult.
