Papanui High School Upholstery Course
Do you have a favourite piece of furniture that needs to be recovered so that you can continue to enjoy using it? Come along to Papanui High School and join our popular Upholstery Course and learn how to repair, repad and recover your furniture. This course is being taught by Steve McDonald from McDonald and Hartshorne Upholstery and is being held on Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 September 9 am - 4 pm both days at a cost of $153. This is a hands on course and students will need to bring their own small item of furniture to recover, along with materials. Building job
I would like a pantry made in the gap the old hot water tank used to be. This involves a wall being taken out but it isn't load bearing.
Also a shelter outside over the bin area needs replacing.
I have tried Builders Crack and of the 3 only one turned up and I want more estimates.
Any recommendations of builders or handyman who are happy to at least have a look.

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
