Burglars try to steal Christmas from Santa's grotto at QEII
Hi neighbours,
'Twas 18 nights before Christmas, when all through Santa’s grotto not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Apart from burglars, that is, who broke into Santa’s outpost in Christchurch and apparently tried to steal Christmas right from under the noses of his little helpers, who were sleeping safely at home.
When they arrived at the grotto on Tuesday morning they found the lights on and the back door tampered with.
Fortunately, the burglars were not able to access the grotto's main room, full of its floats and decorations.
