Planting with South New Brighton School
A huge thanks to South Brighton students who got muddy today planting 400 salt marsh plants near the base of South New Brighton Jetty with park rangers. Many of the original plants had died after being buried by liquefaction from the earthquakes. Ranger Andrew Crossland has been trialling different techniques to see what might be most effective in restoring these salt marsh ecosystems which are important habitat and feeding grounds for many estuary life.
