We're Big Supporters of our Local Community
We're proud to support our local community and are actively involved in helping the local New Zealand communities our store serves. As part of the FreshChoice Monthly Community Fund initiative, we have the opportunity to make monthly charitable grants of $500 towards local organisations of our choosing.
Last month, we donated towards multiple community organisations to spread the love. These included the Parklands Bowling Club, North Beach Community Preschool, New Zealand Spinal Trust Burwood, Parkview School and the Breast Cancer PinkStar Walk.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
