The Loft’s Social Emergency Response Service is under threat of closure due to a loss of funding from the Ministry of Social Development. Closure would be devastating for individuals and families who rely on this support, leaving our community without a lifeline during its most vulnerable moments. Please sign the petition and show your support for this important service.
The Loft, which is based upstairs at Eastgate Mall, accommodates sixteen social service agencies, housing a wealth of information and expertise that they are eager to share and promote with in the sector.
Our CAB volunteers are there every Tuesday from 11am-2pm. We can usually be found in the library next to our big yellow flag if you want to talk to us. We also have a room in the Loft if you want to talk in confidence. No appointment needed.

Winkle the traveling Gnome
My first book was just published on Amazon. Winkle writes about his life living with humans. This is an entertaining read, and more books will follow. I do have some available at home or buy directly. We have over 26,000 hits on our blog that is written almost daily. My aim is to make people laugh.
