Our sincere thanks to the South Waikato Arts Trust (who funded the wing and side curtains) the South Waikato District Council (who funded the stage curtain), Stage Mechanics (who manufactured and installed the curtains) and Entra Scaffolding (who assisted us with a hefty discount and the very difficult task of accessing some areas we couldn't get to with the scissor lift). The curtains are shiny and luscious - it's like a warming hug walking into the theatre! Keep an eye out for updates of future work at the Plaza Putaruru - there's plenty more to come!

If you are going I strongly recommend Park 'n' Ride. In Cambridge this is by the BMX track on Milton Street. There are a few sections which are bus only which speeds up your trip. You are dropped right at the bottom by the ticket and entrance booths. You are picked up from the same spot. Yesterday late morning parking was out by Mystery Creek Winery as all the car parks were full and then you walked or waited for a shuttle. Leaving there was a queue for shuttles to car parks. We went straight into a covered tent with seating and were on our way home in 10 minutes. 1-1/2 hours there - 20 minutes back. Fun atmosphere and relaxing.
