NZ Police / ACC Booze Bus

When they were packing up to head off to another location the NZ Police Booze Bus turned left ONTO the High Bridge hitting the overhead Drop down signs that smash into the top of large vehicles. The driver of the NZ Police Booze Bus stopped then kept on going across the bridge into town.

Can the NZ Police please let us know if they issued a Infringement Notice to that NZ Police person behind the steering wheel of that Booze bus for crossing over the bridge and damaging not only the overhead warning signs but also severely damaging the top of the Booze Bus? (The booze bus is owned by the NZ Tax Payer).

I always thought the NZ Police should be setting a good example but it appears in this case the driver was either pissed or asleep at the wheel and crossed over!

Will the NZ Police please respond/comment.

Thank you.

Are you a fan of fast fashion?

Kelly Dennett Reporter from Sunday Star Times

Many of us grew up flocking to Glassons, Hallenstein's, Cotton On and Just Jeans for our hardy perennials - jeans, t-shirts, summer dresses - and some of us still do.

Many of us grew up flocking to Glassons, Hallenstein's, Cotton On and Just Jeans for our hardy perennials - jeans, t-shirts, summer dresses - and some of us still do.

But we're increasingly becoming aware that buying a $20 t-shirt that won't last the distance isn't that great for the environment.

While some of us are pledging to only buy second hand or to invest in statement pieces - more expensive items that will last a long time- not all of us have that luxury.

We're wanting to speak to someone who isn't giving up their fast fashion any time soon, whether it's for economic or style reasons, personal choice or indifference to the environment. Maybe you're a student who likes the choice chain store fashion brings, or perhaps you're a parent whose children are growing too fast to risk splashing out on expensive clothing.

If this sounds like you, please email kelly.dennett@stuff.co.nz.

We are missing two of our dogs and they have now been gone 11 weeks. They may be in your area. Dice ( male black poodle) and Weed ( female black/white Foxy cross) went missing from the Otago Peninsula and after airing on the TV show Seven Sharp we received news that they had been seen tied to a dirty white older model camping van in very rough condition, just outside Dunedin about the time they went missing. Unfortunately, we got this information four weeks after the sighting and we have been chasing ever since. They could now be anywhere in New Zealand. A Facebook page was set up to coordinate a search nationwide and we have had tremendous support with many posters being displayed and flyers distributed. We have had no confirmed sightings of the dogs since then. After initially thinking that they had been picked up by foreign freedom campers, we now think that this van may have been someone just out for a few days away from their routine. The dogs may now be with them at home. Have you noticed any new dogs in your neighbourhood? Both of them are small, friendly and easy to look after. Dice will be much fluffier than the photos unless he has been clipped. Please contact us if you have any information. Alan 0274761775, Louisa 0274300875
