The project, called Kai in the Sky, is the brainchild of 24-year-old Becky Umbers. Staff from local hospitality businesses, which are struggling because of the pandemic, will tend to the gardens and use the produce grown there for free. This year especially, we wanted to make it easier to donate to our street appeal for those that wonโt be out and about or arenโt carrying cash. Every dollar makes a difference in helping provide free support for people with cancer and their whฤnau.โ
The newest way to donate is with the Cancer Societyโs digital experience called โMy Daffodilโ. This can be found at www.daffodilday.org.nz. You can also donate via a QR code that will be displayed on daffodils during the street appeal on Friday 28 August.
Thank you for your support, we appreciate it!
