Amitabha Hospice coordinates free compassionate companionship and practical support to elderly and incurably ill people of any age in their own homes. The service is provided by specially trained and supervised volunteer support companions throughout the greater Auckland area.
As an Amitabha support companion you can make a huge difference to someone’s quality of life by visiting them for a few hours each week on an ongoing basis. Our small coordination team provides training and ongoing support

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
