Bamboo poles and bean plants. π
My new freshly-cut (from the backyard of someone on Titirangi Facebook page!) green bamboo poles holding up my garden shades (old poles were rotten at the base & one broke in the storm the other night π ), and dwarf beans (from someone else on Titirangi Facebook page!) newly planted in the vege garden bed by the back door - splattered with liquid seaweed fertiliser and then watered. That's why they look a bit all-over-the-place, but they should right themselves again soon. π
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens arenβt seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days β the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, whoβs made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
