Top 10 Summer experiences in Te Atatu South
While eagerly waiting for Te Atatu Food Truck Fridays to start again on February 7th, we thought we would come up with a Top 10 list of Te Atatu South experiences to enjoy in summer. What experiences are in your top 10?
1. Surround yourself in nature. Get out amongst the parks, trees, birds and waterways of Te Atatu. Good coastal spots are along completed parts of the Te Whau Pathway and Henderson Creek pathway. The Henderson Creek/ Twin Streams pathway goes all the way to Henderson Valley or Oratia. You could also try your luck at fishing off the jetty at Tui Glen Park or at the end of Roberts road.
2. Picnic in the park. You can BBQ in the park at Tui Glen or grab a picnic for a picturesque spot beside Henderson Creek or Whau River.
3. Chill with some coffee. Coffee fiends can get there fix at the community hubs of Anastasis Coffee Roasters or One Sip coffee cafe. Also, don’t miss our Te Atatu Food Truck Fridays bright yellow amigos, Victor & Vern's, who park up on Central Park drive.
4. Catch a view. Being on an elevated ridge, Te Atatu South is surrounded with stunning views to the city and Waitakere Ranges. One favourite is catching the sunset over the Waitakere Ranges from Te Atatu South Park.
5. Get moving. Walking, cycling, kayaking or try the fitness equipment at Te Atatu South Park or on the Henderson Creek shared pathway. For more scenic walking/ cycling routes, use the two coastal pathways to make loops that fit your needs. For the more ambitious, you could try complete a full 11km suburb loop on your bike.
6. Explore some local history. Get to know the local history of Swan’s Arch on Central Park Drive, or the Ryan’s or Robert’s houses or where all the old vineyards were located.
7. Take in some art. Have you seen the artwork of the Northwestern cycleway underpass? Also, check out the art work around Lloyd Morgan Park or transformer artwork through the suburb.
8. Walk the dog. Good doggo walking spots and loops include McLeod Road Park, Te Atatu South Park and Lloyd Morgan Park backing on to Rangeview Intermediate’s field.
9. Parks, playgrounds and bike tracks. Kick the ball around at one of the great local parks, try out all the local playgrounds, test out the bike track at Edmonton primary for the littlies or the pump track at the Falls carpark.
10. Fall in love with Te Atatu Food Truck Fridays! 😍 Yes, what better place to enjoy the community vibes and try out some of Auckland’s tastiest food trucks. Lock in the date for the next event on February 7th on our Facebook event page and remember to like our Facebook page 👍 www.facebook.com....
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
