Removal of public rubbish bins 🤦
As part of the Mayor's budget cuts, councillors agreed to remove one third of all public rubbish bins from across Auckland! For the Kaipātiki Local Board area, it means that we'll be losing around 112 bins from parks, streets and bus stops.🤦 It's a crazy situation when many of our bins don't get emptied often enough now.😡
Council staff have suggested removing the bins marked with red dots on the attached map and if we want to save one, we need to sacrifice another...
