But, unlike other stores, this one will be open 24/7 - starting Thursday at 7am. Kmart New Zealand country manager Jason Picard said the new store will offer customers "unprecedented accessibility". "For us, it's about offering better support to New Zealand families who are busy balancing work, family and leisure commitments," he said in a statement. The 3926sqm store will occupy the space which previously housed Countdown, at the southern end of the mall. It's Kmart's seventh store in Auckland, and the first to open in Auckland in more than 10 years. The other Auckland locations include Albany, Henderson, St Lukes, Manukau, Botany and Papatoetoe.

Lights were turned off, popcorn was at the ready as we waited.
We weren't disappointed very much.
The wind picked up, the awesome rumbles were high above and so deep in sound as we continued to wait for the rest, all the while munching on our yummy popcorn.
The we recognised the lower level of thunder as a sign the lightening was about to arrive and - tah dah ... it arrived in spectacular force.
It was so beautiful as it lit up the whole sky with a beautiful light purple glow as the rain was pelting down.
But the icing on the cake was the freaky sized hail stones falling in every direction.
We looked like a couple of hillbillies sitting our our chair munching away and cheering as the mini storm hit with another lightening strike or a roll of the thunder or the evil hail stones banging against the windows 😄😄
We've both seen bigger and more ferocious storms from where have come from, but this was still a great one to sit back and enjoy, better than T.V.
I do hope that you are all safe, warm and dry.

NZ's highest-earning red light camera rakes in nearly $650,000 in fines in first year

Motorists on Auckland’s North Shore have kept a red-light camera extremely busy in its first year of operation.
In the 12 months from June 2018 to June to 2019, $642,000 in fines were issued by the fixed-position camera.
It's a figure that even the AA, which supports the use of red-light cameras, says is concerning. “A camera issuing that many tickets, your're just not getting the right road safety result,” AA advisor Barney Irvine told Seven Sharp.
The camera was installed at the intersection of Esmonde Road and Fred Thomas Drive, near the Northern Motorway on-ramp, as part of a wider rollout of cameras across the city. Each new single camera costs $46,828, generally purchased by Auckland Transport and is monitored by police. “The camera there issued two-thousand tickets in the first four months of the year, and that’s way ahead of what we’re seeing on other roads with the same amount of traffic. It’s just far too high,” Mr Irvine says. The AA is now calling on Auckland Transport to investigate other options for cracking down on red-light infringements. In a statement, Auckland Transport says that it is aware that “this intersection is a high infringement zone” and that they are looking at ways to make signage and signals clearer. “This will include additional traffic lights (one that sits over the intersection) and flashing studs in the road seal to warn people of the upcoming red signal.” Mr Irvine says sometimes a red-light camera by itself just isn’t enough.

Swearing At Work? Does Anyone In This World Have A Right To Tolerate Such Behaviour?

This is what Seven Sharp and what this lady said about swearing.

www.tvnz.co.nz...

Here is the info I have copied from the website as well:

A Wellington coffee cart worker who was fired for using bad language feels like "a weight" is off her shoulders after being awarded $16,000 for unfair dismissal.
Rachel Ferrari was sent packing from her Flying Bean coffee cart job in Petone in May 2018.
Ms Ferrari admitted she often used colourful language with customers, but only when the situation warranted it.
"It's not like I would come out with a swear word in everyday conversation I would gauge the customer and if they were having a bad day try and put a smile on their face," she told Seven Sharp.

"They'd always leave with a laugh."

However, after receiving a warning from her boss over language, a customer then complained and Ms Ferrari lost her job around two months later.
She lawyered up, and a recent decision saw her awarded $16,000 for unfair dismissal.

"It feels like a weight is off my shoulders, completely my name is cleared," she said.

Stuff reports that Flying Bean "denied Ferrari's claims and said her dismissal was procedural and substantively fair."
Ms Ferrari now has a new job serving coffee in Upper Hutt.

When asked if she has since curbed her language when interacting with customers, Ms Ferrari said: "I took points from my new boss, watched him with a couple of customers and I thought OK then this is fun, this is my environment."

My take, it does not matter what ethnicity you are or any culture you live in , I believe you can work as any employer or employee without swearing. It is just not needed especially if you are working in a job where you are working face to face with customers. Outside the work place, you can say whatever you want, in the workplace, NO WAY!

What do others think? Does anyone think or need to having swearing at work?
