Fun and meaningful part time work

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites - Remuera

🔵 Do you love to swim, bush walk and explore?
🔵 Do you have the skills to build strong and trusting relationships?
🔵 Are you a reliable, confident and empathetic person?

We are looking for a friendly and confident mentor, to support an autistic teenager on his quest for adventure. While he doesn’t talk much, he has the personal care skills to look after himself, but he needs someone to help him navigate the complexity of other people.

If you are an enthusiastic person, who loves to join in the fun, this job is for you! You need to be; able to swim, happy to jump on the trampoline and keen to plan a new adventure each week. You need a full licence and your own car to make the adventures possible from his home in New Lynn.

We are hoping to find someone two afternoons a week and one visit in the weekends - about 2-3 hours per visit. A total of about 7 hours per week. If you can do extra hours in the school holidays that would be amazing.

If you are interested or want to know more, please email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz or send me a message
