Tiny Auckland BMX club takes national titles

Caryn Wilkinson Reporter from Community News

One of the smallest BMX clubs in the country has been turning heads nationally.

Young riders from the tiny club in Saint Johns, Auckland, have dominated the podium at the First Windows and Doors BMX NZ national championship, held in Christchurch.

Some successfully defended their national titles against 400 competitors.

Four club members netted national titles- Ben Anderson, Finn Cogan, Lucas Bhimy and Adam Coker.

East City club also earned enough points to be awarded the overall points trophy, the Pocock Cup, equal with Hamilton Club.
