“I would like to nominate and THANK our great neighbour's living at Viv Davie Martin Drive for their creativity and huge effort during lock down. They lifted all our spirits with their daily Teddy bear reenactment on how to keep busy. Each day people came to see what Teddy bear was up to. With keen interest kids in our neighbourhood even gave Teddy a proper name...meet Vincent LOL! It's through times like this that such acts of goodness should be acknowledged and the memories they hold forever treasured. Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
