Learn to Sail at the Glendowie Boating Club

Craig Liddell from Glendowie Boating Club

LEARN TO SAIL AT GLENDOWIE BOATING CLUB
The first Introduction to the Sailing Holiday Programme is now open for registrations for all sailors wanting to give sailing a go. Running from the 15-19th January, the GBC 5 day (half day, mornings) holiday programme is an excellent way to experience sailing and the beautiful waters of the Hauraki.
Sitting on the waters of the Tamaki River the Glendowie Boating Club offers an unsurpassed location for young sailors to try their hand at one of New Zealand’s corner stone sports. With a group of young and experienced coaches, Glendowie Boating Club graduates themselves, they will be taken through the YNZ Learn To Sail 1 course and come out having learnt all about the Optimist boat, the basics of sailing and increased confidence on the water

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
